A private right of way entitles a user to pass and repass over and along another piece of land to access their property or piece of land. | |||
Private rights of way are usually
very specific, allowing the user to pass and repass over a
defined area of land on a specified route. They can also limit
who can use it, the times of day, modes of transport that can be
used, the reasons allowed, etc. |

The maintanence for a private right
of way can be the liability of the homeowner benefiting from the
right of way and/or the homeowner subject to the right of way. |

1. The registered private rights of way that the owner(s) of the property (or piece of land) are entitled to use to access the property (or piece of land), if any. | |||
2. The registered private rights of way that other properties have over the property or piece of land, if any. | |||
3. The responsibilities the owner(s) of the property or piece of land have towards the rights of way, if any. | |||

Jointly Owned Properties
|

If a property has more than one owner, it can be held by the owners as "Tenants in Common" or as "Joint Tenants". | |||
If a property is held as "Tenants in Common" each owner owns a specific share of the property and can pass their specific share on to their heirs in their Will when they die. | |||
If a property is held as "Joint Tenants" each owner owns the entire property. If one of the owners die, their share automatically passes to the surviving owners, it cannot be left in a Will. | |||

1. Whether the property is owned as “joint tenants” or “tenants in common”. | |||
2. The specific ownership shares of each registered owner. | |||
3. The name(s) of the registered owner(s) of the title. | |||
